Cosmetic Glitters
The term "cosmetic glitter" is widely used to describe the technical suitability for glitter to be used in cosmetics. This does not always mean that the pigments used in the manufacture of glitter are "cosmetically approved". All of the glitters on this page contain pigments which have been approved for cosmetic use and are part of the Schedule 5 listing, Cosmetic Products (Safety) Regulations 2008.
All glitters listed on this page are suitable for Application 4 "wash on wash off" applications for example shampoos, shower gels and soaps.
Application 1 glitters are suitable for "direct to skin" applications for example glitter tattoos, lipsticks, hair and body gel.
